The paper addresses the issue of the link between struggles for recognition and for redistribution on the basis of a case study focused on the “movement of the organized unemployed” in Napoli. That is the most important urban protest movement that erupted among marginal workers and poor people in Naples, and also the only one of its kind in Italy
